Autotalks, a developer of V2X communication solutions, and Secure-IC, a global provider of end-to-end cybersecurity solutions for embedded systems, have announced a collaboration to enhance the security of Autotalks’ advanced V2X communication solutions.

Offering the potential to revolutionize road safety and traffic efficiency, both companies believe that V2X technology must be fortified to withstand potential cyberattacks, data breaches, and unauthorized access. This belief facilitated the collaboration, with Autotalks partnering with Secure-IC to ensure that its third-generation chipsets provide robust security. In doing so, Autotalks made the strategic decision to license Secure-IC’s Securyzr IP and integrate it into its chipsets.

This integration was further enhanced by Autotalks’ V2X Security firmware, leveraging its underlying hardware to create an enhanced, certifiable, V2X Hardware Security Module. For Autotalks, Secure-IC’s hardware IP not only provides essential cryptographic, randomness, and secure processing capabilities for its firmware but also includes certification services – including the Common Criteria framework according to the EU V2X Protection Profile.
