Inceptio Technology, an developer of autonomous driving technologies for heavy-duty trucks, recently delivered 400 autonomous trucks equipped with these technologies to ZTO Express – a fast-growing express delivery company in China.
The trucks themselves were jointly developed with Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle and are pre-loaded with Inceptio’s Autonomous Driving System. With the fleet, ZTO Express is aiming to optimize its logistics network, reduce operational costs and enhance efficiency, while boosting its operational value.
Inceptio itself has developed technologies for use cases across the logistics industry, including line-haul logistics, express delivery, and less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation, as well as contract logistics.
ZTO Express is actively focused on expanding its presence across the domestic logistics market and is strengthening its fleet – with the new addition of Inceptio and Dongfeng’s autonomous trucks – to ensure safer, more efficient, and profitable operations. The company has said that this collaboration will ultimately support its current and future growth.
