Moove, a provider of mobility solutions, has announced a new, fleet-centric, partnership with Waymo – the autonomous driving technology subsidiary of Alphabet. For Waymo, this collaboration represents its first commercial partnership focused on the Waymo One app, through which its robotaxi service can be accessed.

Under the new agreement, Moove will manage and dispatch new vehicles in Waymo’s fleet of autonomous robotaxis, beginning with operations in Phoenix in 2025 and expanding into Miami in 2026. Here, Moove will take responsibility for fleet operations, facilities, and charging infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of Waymo’s all-electric AV fleet. Waymo, itself, will continue to offer its service through the Waymo One app, and remain responsible for validation and operation of its autonomous driving technology – the Waymo Driver.

In utilizing Moove’s experiences in fleet management, Waymo will now be able to focus on advancing its Waymo Driver technology while accelerating its goal to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable experiences to its customers. For Moove, based in Nigeria, the partnership marks its U.S. market entry and a key step in its broader strategy to build the world’s largest fleet and best in class technologies that empower mobility platforms.

Since its 2020 launch, Moove has grown quickly, securing a global partnership with Uber and support from leading investors, including the transportation company who participated in its Series B funding round in 2024. Today, it has operations in 12 markets across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and served over 30,000 mobility entrepreneurs globally, with more than 50 million trips completed in Moove-financed vehicles.
