In an official blog, Lyft announced the opening of a new office in Munich, Germany and welcoming a talented group of new colleagues.
This team will initially focus on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and geometric mapping for Level 5 autonomous driving effort. In other words: they’ll build the layer of software that helps our self-driving cars know precisely where they are and what’s around them.
