Porsche and Mobileye have announced a strategic collaboration around the series production of premium ADAS solutions. The OEM confirmed that, in its future models, it will offer automated assistance and navigate-on-pilot functions based on Mobileye’s SuperVision technology platform.

The ADAS platform itself enables hands-free driving on various types of roads while the user monitors their surroundings. It is also capable of semi-autonomously following navigation routes set by the driver, changing lanes, and automatically overtaking slower vehicles on multi-lane roads. These functions are made possible by its sensor suite of eleven cameras and supporting radar fusion perception. Other components in this suite include high-resolution maps (Road Experience Management) system and Mobileye’s EyeQ 6 High Systems-on-a-Chip (SoC).

Within the collaboration, Porsche will take a leading role in fully integrating SuperVision into its future models – confirming that it will be specially integrated and tuned for these models by its engineers. The system will also be customized by the company’s in-house specialists. The same applies to its integration within the UI of the Porsche Communication Management system.
