Mobileye, a provider of autonomous driving solutions, and Project 3 Mobility (P3), a Croatian company developing urban autonomous mobility solutions, will collaborate to explore a new mobility service utilizing Mobileye’s scalable self-driving technology, Mobileye Drive. The first service from P3 is aimed to be launched in Zagreb, Croatia in 2026, with testing and validation of Mobileye’s AV solution on the city’s streets expected to begin in 2024.

P3 itself is aiming to realize urban mobility as a safe, effortless, and premium user experience based on an ecosystem consisting of an autonomous EV, specialized infrastructure, and a mobility service platform. In fulfilling its vision, the company is currently developing a fully autonomous electric vehicle built on a new platform designed around safety and comfort. The Mobileye Drive autonomous solution will be integrated into the P3 vehicle, supporting its automated driving functions.

The Mobileye Drive itself combines redundant camera and lidar-radar sensing, REM crowdsourced mapping and transparent driving policy – all powered by the EyeQ system-on-chip – to offer scalable, adaptable autonomous driving for robotaxis and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) providers. The solution can be deployed in a wide range of geographic locations on many different road types, can drive under varying weather conditions, and can adapt itself to local driving styles, all of which will be crucial to the scalability of Project 3 Mobility’s service.

P3 has already signed agreements with nine cities across the EU, UK, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to provide its urban autonomous service, with plans to launch in a further 30 cities in the future. The company will soon establish a production facility in Croatia for the large-scale production of autonomous vehicles that it will deploy globally.

Project 3 Mobility’s planned Mobility-as-a-Service project aims to provide customers with an improved, personalized, user experience. The realization of this project aims to increase efficiency and safety in traffic, while achieving a positive impact on the environment and city infrastructure. Project 3 Mobility confirmed that it will share further details about its project and service in the coming months.
