May Mobility, an AV technology company, has launched its first commercial autonomous transportation service in the City of Peachtree Corners, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Having transitioned the service to driverless operations in the city, this launch marks May Mobility’s third driverless deployment in the U.S. following its operations in Sun City, AZ and Ann Arbor, MI.

The newly driverless service will continue to operate in partnership between May Mobility, Curiosity Lab, T-Mobile, and the City of Peachtree Corners itself, offering public rides in the company’s Toyota Sienna Autono-MaaS AV to visitors of Peachtree Corner’s Curiosity lab. These rides will operate within a service zone that includes eight pre-determined stops along Technology Parkway, at popular destinations such as hotels, restaurants, retail shops, office spaces, the Innovation Center at Curiosity Lab and Peachtree Corners City Hall.

For the Peachtree Corners public, these operations will be open Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with each May Mobility autonomous vehicle able to accommodate up to five passengers at once. To book a trip to any of the service’s eight stops, riders can use May Mobility’s mobile app (available for iOS and Android devices), which guides users on how to book a ride, access the vehicle and answers any further questions they have about the service itself.

May Mobility’s vehicles utilize its proprietary Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology that leverages in-situ AI to interpret data in real-time, allowing it to continuously learn and adapt to new, complex and even unpredictable driving conditions to help create a safer, more comfortable ride. In doing so, MPDM adapts to unexpected, dynamic conditions or ‘edge cases’, and allows the company to scale quickly and efficiently to new environments.

Alongside the announcement of its expanded service, the company also announced its plans to work more closely with the City of Peachtree Corners on future expansions, aiming to launch autonomous vehicles in metro Atlanta in partnership with Lyft later in 2025. Further driverless operations from May Mobility in the U.S. are also expected to be announced later on in the year.
