Kodiak Robotics has announced a new partnership with C.R. England, through which the companies will jointly conduct a pilot program to autonomously ship Tyson Foods products between Dallas and San Antonio, TX. The deliveries at the center of the collaboration will launch in April, leveraging Kodiak’s autonomous trucks and C.R. England’s refrigerated trailers throughout, with safety drivers initially behind the wheel.

In addition to its pilot with Kodiak, C.R. England also joined the company’s Partner Deployment Program through the partnership. The program helps carriers establish autonomous freight operations and integrate the Kodiak Driver, Kodiak’s self-driving system, into its fleet. Through integrating self-driving trucks into its fleet, C.R. England is looking to benefit from their improved safety, reduced fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions.
