Hesai will provide Webasto with automotive LiDAR sensors to for its Roof Sensor Module, designed for passenger cars with ADAS, as part of a newly announced partnership.
Through it, Hesai’s AT128 long range LiDAR has been integrated into the latest version of Webasto’s Roof Sensor Module, which features several cameras and LiDAR sensors. The system likewise includes a full sensor set, together with other antennas, that is concealed under a full-surface polycarbonate cover that blends with the vehicle’s silhouette.
The AT128 sensor itself generates ultra-high resolution point clouds, perceiving objects up to 200 meters away – including vehicles, pedestrians, tires, and traffic cones. In perceiving and capturing such objects, the sensor works to enable and ensure accurate decision-making practices that help drivers avoid risk.
