Hesai, a provider of automotive LiDAR technology, has secured new design wins for multiple models from Chery Automobile. These models are expected to enter mass production in the second half of 2025 and will feature the latest generation of ATX, Hesai’s ultra-compact, high-performance LiDAR.

Today, Chery’s vehicle line-up encompasses a range of vehicles tailored to different industry segments, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and urban mobility vehicles. The OEM represents the latest design win for Hesai, which now has more than 100 wins across a total of 21 OEMs, such as Chery, Great Wall Motors, and Changan.

The ATX LiDAR itself offers strong sensor performance within a compact form, empowering the operations of many advanced assisted driving functions. Since its release in April 2024, Hesai says that the sensor has been selected for use in mass production vehicles by many automakers, including new energy vehicle companies as well as European and American OEM joint ventures based in China.

In 2025, Hesai’s expects its planned annual production capacity to surpass 2 million units, enabled by advancements in its mass production and R&D capabilities.
