Geotab, a provider of connected transportation solutions, has introduced two new products for the UK fleet market, Driver Risk Insights and Work Order Management, at its Geotab Connect 2025 event in Orlando, Florida. Focused on helping companies move from reactive to proactive fleet management, the new products aim to provide fleet managers with the additional tools they need to improve safety records and vehicle maintenance.
Driver Risk Insights offers an AI-powered enhancement within the Geotab Safety Center that provides fleet managers with a heightened visibility of individual driver risk factors. By shifting the focus from vehicle-based data to driver-specific analysis, Geotab is aiming to help fleets, especially those with shared vehicles, assess and predict collision risk at the driver level rather than the vehicle level. This more precise understanding of driver behaviour, Geotab says, allows for targeted safety interventions, helping reduce accidents, lower costs, and improve overall driver performance.
The enhancement further enables personalised, driver-focused analytics that aim to benefit fleets and fleet managers in assessing the likelihood of a collision (providing a percentage-based collision risk probability per driver based on driving behaviours and historical trends); benchmarking driver performance against similar drivers within the fleet, or across different fleets, using Geotab’s anonymised aggregate data set; and delivering proactive coaching through the Geotab Drive app to provide drivers with feedback, helping them improve their driver safety habits.
The new Work Order Management system set to launch within the Geotab Maintenance Center will help UK fleet managers reduce downtime and manage maintenance costs more effectively. Here, it allows fleet managers to streamline maintenance tasks through the centralised hub in the MyGeotab platform. By consolidating scheduling, tracking, and reporting into one place, Geotab says the system can replace manual record-keeping and disconnected systems with a more efficient digital workflow.
Among its key benefits are its centralised management system, allowing all maintenance activities to be tracked in a single location; improved operational efficiency (by converting maintenance requests into work orders, monitoring active work orders, and analysing costs and downtime metrics); and predictive maintenance enabled through Geotab’s predictive analytics to help identify vehicles at risk of failure and schedule preventative maintenance accordingly.
