Gatik has announced a new, multi-year commercial collaboration with Kroger to transport customer orders within the U.S. supermarket’s Dallas distribution network.

Under the collaboration, Gatik’s medium-duty autonomous box trucks will be used to transport fresh products from a Kroger Customer Fulfillment Center in Dallas, TX, to multiple Kroger retail locations. The partnership will specifically utilize the cold chain-capable foot box featured in Gatik’s trucks, which are designed to efficiently, and safely, transport ambient, refrigerated, and frozen goods.

The collaboration will entail consistent, repeated, delivery runs several times per day, seven days per week, across Kroger’s Dallas distribution network. Through it, both companies are also aiming to illustrate the benefits of autonomous delivery vehicles for Kroger customers – such as their increased speed and responsiveness when fulfilling e-commerce orders, reduced costs, and dedicated capacity across the middle-mile.

Launching in Q2 2023, Gatik’s operations with Kroger will work to meet the immediate needs of both online and in-store customers, providing them with goods more quickly and more reliably.
