Brose and Volkswagen have announced Brose Sitech – a joint venture which has been operating as an independent supplier of seat systems since the beginning of the year.
Each company holds a 50 percent stake in the joint venture, which is headquartered in Polkowice, Poland. An estimated 5,000 employees work at its eight sites located in Poland, Germany, China, and the Czech Republic. Both companies expect the venture to double its business volume to €2.8 billion by 2030, while its workforce is expected to rise to around 7,000.
Thomas Spangler, previously Executive Vice President of Operations for the Brose Group, chairs the executive board. The top management team also includes Tomasz Lewandowski, Chief Financial Officer, and Stefanie Wangemann, Chief Human Resources Officer.
Brose Sitech intends to further expand its business with the Volkswagen Group and supply seat systems to other OEMs. In addition to existing development and production sites in Eastern Europe, Germany and China, it also plans to expand activities in Europe, America, and Asia. In the long term, the joint venture aims to develop solutions for the entire vehicle interior.
