Aves Reality and dSPACE have announced a new partnership that will aim to support autonomous vehicle developers validate sensors and algorithms in virtual test drives. The project is the latest partnership between the companies, with Aves Reality previously providing synthetic environments for Aurelion – dSPACE’s sensor simulation solution.
Processing satellite imagery with a combination of AI and advanced video game technology, Aves Reality produces a variety of 3D content at scale. When put into Aurelion, these environments can then be used to support camera, radar, and LiDAR simulations for OEMs and developers working on autonomous vehicles.
Aurelion itself is used throughout the development process – including software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing or scaled validation in the cloud. The simulation software draws on an extensive library of sensor models, allowing for new sensors to be reproduced in simulations ahead of their market launch.
