SiLC Technologies has announced that AutoX has selected its Eyeonic Vision Sensor for its autonomous robotaxi fleet. The Eyeonic sensor works to provide accurate depth, instantaneous velocity, and dual-polarization intensity to enhance autonomous driving operations.

AutoX’s self-driving platform can respond efficiently to a variety traffic scenarios in urban cities around the world. In using SiLC’s Eyeonic Vision sensor, the firm hopes to deliver detailed, instantaneous, velocity and ultra-long-range information to augment other sensors in its proprietary hardware stack. SiLC’s Eyeonic Vision Sensor is a FMCW LiDAR transceiver that features a silicon photonic chip which works to integrates and support its LiDAR capabilities onto a single chip.
